Linh Phuoc Pagoda Is located 8 km from the Vietnamese city of Da Lat. Da Lat it's self is situated in the central Plains of Vietnam at around 5000 feet. Making it much cooler than the coast. It's surrounded by picturesque pine trees and is gleefully named "The City of Eternal Spring" It's a largely agricultural area. One of the cool tourist spots we checked out was a tea field. There are also fields of flowers which makes the area very pretty. Riding my scooter I could see Flowers around every bend. It was the peaceful reprieve I needed from the hustle and bustle of Vietnam's coast. I had arrived a week or two earlier to Ho Chi Minh City. The city can deliver  serious  culture shock . The streets are inundated with men and women on scooters. People are packed everywhere, this can be overwhelming for somebody from the country. So even a simple thing like crossing the street seems like a daunting and impossible task.  but with a little bit of nerve  and  motivation you realize that once you step off the curb  the scooters just go right around you. And of course, when in Asia you better get a scooter and get exploring! There are so many interesting things to be seen just cruising down the road on a scooter. I was in Vung Tau when I first witnessed something which defied the laws of physics.it was a man driving a scooter with two huge, when I say huge I'm saying 4 foot Handcrafted and painted clay vases Strapped to either side of his bike. He was having absolutely no problem navigating the treacherous and crowded Street. It was a miracle he was making way down the road without shattering the glossy masterpieces pieces . You can see this type of thing all over the place, apparently you can get almost anything on a scooter. Bags of vegetables, Enough groceries to fill a house of 10, ornamental orange trees, handcrafted marble statues... the list goes on.  It was news to me, but it was why I was there. This, being my first extended Overseas excursion, any cultural differences would be relished.
